I was born and raised in Norway, land of the Vikings, fjords, and cloudberries among other things. I have fond memories picking cloudberries in the forest up North as a child, and this is where I got the inspiration for Cloudberry Babies. A cloudberry is a musky, slightly sweet, orange berry that grows in Northern Norway, they are thought to make children more imaginative. Kids are all about play and imagination, and I like to capture that in my photography. I have three children of my own, and the pictures I treasure most are the ones with real expressions.
I started out my education in fine art and design, and went on to study photography on my own later. I have been shooting professionally for 8 years, and love it; the art, production design, and especially the great people I get to meet!
I like real expressions and I use natural lighting most of the time. With my background in fine art and design, I am knowledgeable in using lighting and composition to create beautiful and artistic images that will be treasured for generations. |
